UBB.Developers Forums Community Development Programming PHP and Server-side Scripting Integrating member information with ASP app

A client of mine that is running ubbclassic 6.7.1 has a need for an Active Server Pages application that will help generate some revenue on their existing site.

the existing site has the forum and the forum is extremely popular and the staple of their website.

They need to be able to use the member information with the ASP application to be built.

Has anyone worked with this before or something similar?

is FSO open on the server? then you just need to open and parse the member data in the member file(s)...

which files do i need to look for...i am a newbie to cgi. and am not too familiar with the organization of the forum files. thanks for the reply..

i am very familiar with File system object...i think this is exactly what i will do.

The files you need to open depend on what you're doing; if you're just lookin for member data that'd be in the members directory (the path to this directory can be found in the cgi-bin in a file called vars_config.cgi).

Each member has their own member file which is assigned by their member number (the member number and member name can be found in the various un-numbered files located in the members directory)
